After a petition urging A&E to reinstate embattled Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has attracted more than 100,000 signatures and being backed up by hundreds of thousands of Facebook rants, Robertson says he might accept an invitation to appear on Saturday Night Live!
The Cracker Barrel Restaurants have already dropped all their Duck Dynasty products and advertising on A & E and others are sure to follow as the rest of the crew say they will not appear on the show unless Robertson is reinstated.
Robertson came under fire last week for anti-gay comments he has made in a recent interview with GQ, as well as others.
"It's called 'Freedom of Speech', stated another member of the cast. "Of course, you can say 'ass' all you like and show it for that matter, but only certained people are allowed to be criticized on TV,"
He also stated later that he hopes one day that TV watching will be in the past and a person can have freedom of speech on the internet.
"The whole TV company crowd is scared to death of that. They're being replaced just like radio once was. Oh, it won't go away, but the sponsors want viewers!"
Update: Still no word concerning Robertson hosting SNL. Watch The Spoof for anything new.
