BURBANK - A spokesperson for country music icon Willie Nelson has just announced that Nelson will be appearing in a western with Alana Thompson, star of the reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
The 80-year-old singer told Fuchsia Garfunkel, a reporter with The Cucamonga Chit Chat Chronicle, that he has been wanting to star in a movie with the little bitty, blonde, beauty pageant queen.
The film is being produced by Cripple Creek Films in association with Sky Castle Pictures and will be directed by Sheboygan Saddlewood.
Honey Boo Boo told Jay Leno a few weeks ago that her goal was to star in a movie with her favorite singer Willie Nelson.
When Willie heard about her comment he was so honored that he gave the cute little 7-year-old a longhorn steer, which Honey Boo Boo innocently named Horny.
Sheboygan Saddlewood remarked that the name of the western is The Old Pot-Smoking Bounty Hunter and Little Dixie Belle.
Nelson will star as Rufus Haybucket who is getting ready to retire from the bounty hunting business.
Honey Boo Boo will star as Savannah "Dixie Belle" Skittlewater whose single mom, Adelina Skittlewater has been kidnapped by a band of ruthless desperadoes who want to take her to Mexico and present her to the notorious Mexican bandit Pancho Villa.
SIDENOTE: Scarlett Johansson will star as Honey Boo Boo's mother and George Lopez will be portraying Pancho Villa.
