HOLLYWOOD - When American Idol judge Nicki Minaj heard that Curtis Finch, Jr., was in danger of being sent back to St. Louis, she hollered out to Ryan "Peaches" Seacrest that if Curtis goes home then she's going home as well.
And the final decision was all in the judges hands. But that decision had to be a unanimous one.
An inside source who requested anonymity for fear of being fired, stated that Nicki, Mariah Carey, and Keith Urban all voted for the Ebenezer Baptist Church style singer to receive the one judges save and remain on the show, but it was all vetoed by Randy "The Mean Dawg" Jackson.
Apparently the Yo-Yo Dawg wanted to hold on to the one judges save just in the event that his favorite Angie Miller, AKA the beauty pageant contestant happened to need it in the coming weeks.
The Pitchy Dawgman truly believes that the big-eyed Miller is not really getting the outpouring of votes that the producers were expecting due to the fact that she has already stirred up some resentment due to the fact that she is acting like she already has the title in the bag.
Angie "Smiley" Miller finished in the top three along with Candice "The Songstress" Clover and Kree "Miss Bubbly" Harrison.
But as Seacrest mentions at least nine times per show, the American Idol viewers are the ones who decide with their votes.
And loyal viewers of AI know full well that they have a history of not liking individuals who appear to be conceited, who wear too much hair spray, and who do not clap for their fellow contestants.
Calcutta Cotton with Music Moments Magazine noted that Angie is basically in the same boat as one of the best singers to ever appear on American Idol Pia Toscano who was the odds on favorite to win a few seasons ago but who unbelievably got eliminated seven weeks before the shows finale.
Pia felt that she was eliminated because she just happened to be one of the most beautiful, sexy-looking girls to ever appear on American Idol and the young female voters turned on her just like Kobe Bryant turns on his fellow Laker players.
SIDENOTE: So after the first week of American Idol competition, Woody The Wonder Woodchuck's predicting record stands at 4-2, since he predicted that Finch would survive and Lazaro Arbos would get sent home.
