NEW YORK CITY - In a move that highly devoted NFL sports fans saw coming, the New York Jets have finally decided to trade Tim Tebow.
A spokesperson for the Jets organization stated that when the Dallas Cowboys failed to make the NFL playoffs after losing to the Washington Redskins 28-18, they received a call from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Jones, who has been extremely stressed of late due to the up and down inconsistent season of his team, spoke with Jets owner Woody Johnson about the QB for QB deal.
Johnson remarked that he truly believes that the Tebow for Romo deal will be beneficial to both teams.
He commented that he realizes that Tebow will be as happy as a woodpecker in a telephone pole factory since he will go down to Dallas and be the starting quarterback.
Meanwhile back in the Lone Star State Jones said that he hated to have to trade Romo but he pointed out that he had certainly given him more chances than any owner could possibly have.
Jones said that the thing that really made him follow through with the Romo-Tebow deal was when he overheard one of his young grandsons refer to his picks-plagued quarterback as Tony "Oops" Romo.
Tebow was contacted by Sports Balls Illustrated Daily and remarked that he can hardly wait to put on his Cowboy blue uniform and his helmet with the great big blue star on it and play in the $1 billion state-of-the-art Cowboy Stadium.
He added that he is also looking forward to moving down to Texas and eating his share of baby back ribs, fajitas, brisket, enchiladas, and home-made biscuits.
SBID's Dottie Bazooka managed to contact Tony Romo and asked him how he felt about the trade. She said that Tony uttered a bunch of expletives in Spanish and quickly hung up.
