Fans of thinking man's totty boffin Alice Roberts are furious at what they describe as a scheduling "fiasco" with tonight's prime-time viewing.
Prof Roberts's latest programme Prehistoric Autopsy screens at 9pm on BBC2 - clashing directly with popular cold case drama New Tricks on BBC1.
"It's a fiasco is what it is," said chair of Prof Roberts's fan club Bernard Frot. "They're asking us to choose between Alice and Amanda Redman on the other channel.
"That's not fair. My members will already be in a highly emotional state after watching Nigella Lawson's ample bosom while she does her Italian cuisine thing on Nigellisima. Expecting them to make a decision like this or manage to operate any recording device they may have is, frankly, too much to ask."
Mr Frot has figured frequently in these pages as his members have campaigned long and hard for Prof Roberts to "get her kit off" on screen. So far they have been disappointed.
"We're quite excited about tonight's prospects," he added. "Prehistoric autopsy is billed as an anatomy lesson... well you can't demonstrate your anatomy with your clothes on, can you?
"And as this programme is on over three consecutive nights, Alice will need to do something to make it interesting!"
