NEW YORK CITY - After the upcoming sixth season MTVs Jersey Shore will be no more.
The show about orange tanned guidos and guidettes has been cancelled effective with the last show of the current season which will air in late December.
MTV spokesperson Estella "Harpie" Bunkaletti said that there were several reasons why the show was being cancelled.
She noted that the main reason was because Governor Chris Christie had remarked that he did not want the American public and especially people in President Obama's home state of Illinois thinking that his New Jersey was made up of the likes of Mike "The Situation," "Snooki," Pauly D., and JWoww.
Governor Christie said that he got fed up with traveling to far away places such as Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah, and having to explain to people he met that not all New Jersey citizens, talk, walk, act, yell, scream, and carry on like the cast of Jersey Shore.
Another reason why the show is being cancelled is because the original viewers are all now five years older and they have for the most part matured, gotten jobs, gotten married, had babies, and stopped watching kid shows like Jersey Shore and started watching shows like American Idol, X-Factor, The Voice, and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
