NEW YORK CITY - U.S. Women's Olympic Team goalie Hope Solo was in the "Big Apple" on a book signing tour of her new book Goooooooalllll! - The Hope Solo Memoirs.
She was asked by Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily about a chapter in the book where she mentions that her Dancing With The Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy slapped her several times during their rehearsals.
The 31-year-old gold medalist said that it totally caught her by surprise when he slapped her the first time and shocked her when he did it a second time.
She also disclosed that twice, Maksim who is 32, became so upset with her because she was having a problem pointing her toes correctly that he actually bit her on all ten toes.
Solo, who is by no means a sissy girl, stated that Maksim, who is known as "The Bad Boy of The Ballroom" also kicked her on six different occasions causing bruises on her calves, thighs, hips, and ears.
When Reno asked how Chmerkovskiy, could have possibly kicked her ears she replied that she was lying on the floor at the time after having been shoved down by the hot-tempered Ukrainian.
Hope said that she had heard from Mak's ex-fianceé and professional Dancing With The Stars dancer, Karina Smirnoff that he had a short fuse but did not realize that he was even more hot-headed than Mel "The Aussie From Hell" Gibson who has been known to abuse kangaroos, dingos, and bill collectors.
Solo said that several times she came close to retaliating and giving Maks some of his own medicine but she refrained from doing it because she did not want to embarrass him by having a female kick the hell out of him, which she says she could have done very easily.
SIDENOTE: Hope noted that Chmerkovskiy acts like he is a macho stud but deep down inside (off camera) he is as soft and as dainty as Bruno "The Gaytalian" Tonioli.
