ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - The stars of The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were in Albuquerque on a stop on their promotional tour for their hit show.
The two stars, who are also dating, appeared before a crowd of 900 cheering New Mexicans, that had gathered in the auditorium of Billy The Kid Elementary School.
The school's principal Mrs. Gardenia "No Running In The Damn Hall" Pillypong, 59, welcomed the happy couple to New Mexico, Albuquerque, and her wonderfully fabulous state-of-the-art grade school.
She told Ian and Nina that The Vampire Diaries is not only her favorite show, but it is also the favorite show of her two ex-husbands Malachy Kuzzyneski, 61, and Silas Pillypong, 54.
She asked the student body to raise their hands if they watch Ian and Nina's show. And a total of about 825 to 830 hands went up.
Mrs. Pillypong then asked if any students had any questions for the two stars. One little girl, identified as Mitzi Watercress, 10, raised her hand.
Mitzi asked what they thought about the fact that Kristen Stewart had been unfaithful to her boyfriend Rob Pattinson, who just happens to be her (Mitzi's) favorite all-time actor.
Ian looked at Nina and Nina looked at Ian and both stayed quiet for a few moments.
"Hey y'all is my microphone not on or what?" Mitzi asked impatiently.
Ian replied, "Your microphone is working real good sweety, we're both just surprised and stunned as heck at you very personal question."
"Well build a bridge and get over it. What's your answer?"
Ian told her that he learned a long time ago not to make any comments on any of his fellow thespians.
Mitzi asked him what the heck lesbians had to do with her question.
Nina sensing that her boyfriend was starting to sweat a bit jumped in and remarked that people have to understand that sometimes other people make choices that some people might not like, but people have to basically have to learn to mind their own business.
Mitzi asked Dobrev if she was related to Sarah Palin.
A surprised Nina stated that she was not and asked why she would ask that question.
Mitzi giggled. And remarked, "Well, it's because you and 'Snowflake' Palin both seem to have have a pretty darn good knack for beating around the bush and sidestepping questions."
Mrs. Pillypong jumped in and told Mitzi to please sit down and let some of the other students ask a question.
Ian whispered to Mrs. Pillypong that he and Nina had to leave because they had to catch a plane for a speaking engagement at Boise, Idaho's Mashed Potatoes Arena.
In A Related Story. Rob Pattinson spoke with Tittle Tattle Tonight's Pico de Gallo and told him that he would not take Kristen back if she traveled from The La Brea Tar Pits to The Bronx Zoo on her knees.
