CATALINA ISLAND, California - Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev flew over to Catalina Island to get a much needed break from the hectic pace of the place called LaLaLand.
The couple has been extremely busy filming Vampire Diaries and working as much as 16 hours a day sometimes only stopping long enough for bathroom breaks and to have a couple of finger sandwiches.
Somerhalder borrowed a beach house that belongs to Titus Pawtucket, an old friend of his from his home state of Louisiana.
Pawtucket became a multi-millionaire last year by inventing a microwave oven that you can totally immerse in water.
The invention called the Microwave Aquatic 123 comes in handy for pool parties and get togethers down on the beach.
The Microwave Aquatic 123 is especially popular with surfers who sometimes don't have time to take a break from surfing and get to the shore.
While Somerhalder and Dobrev were sitting on the beach they were approached by iRumors reporter Vodka Vermicelli.
The couple had first met VV, as they call her, at a Vicious Guppy Seafood Diner in Redondo Beach when they were celebrating Rob Pattinson's birthday.
She asked the couple about the rumor that Paul McCartney would be making a guest appearance on their show.
Nina replied that she knew nothing about it.
Ian added that he didn't either.
Vermicelli then asked about the rumor that Mitt Romney and Ron Paul were going to be appearing as 17th century vampire cousins Rigoletto and Fettuccine Garlicavino.
Nina and Ian shook their heads and remarked that they would love to see those two old geezers appear on their show but they had not heard a word about it.
She then asked them about the rumors that they had gone to a quasi-isolated beach down in Ensenada, Mexico and had gone skinny dipping.
Nina blushed. Ian grinned and looked away.
After a few moments of silence Vermicelli asked if it was true.
Ian finally admitted that the rumor was true but added that it was midnight and there was no moon out so no one had really seen a thing...not even them.
In Military News. Ireland has stated that if Chile does not release the naval destroyer the IS Irish Spring which accidentally wandered into Chilean waters, Ireland will launch a full scale attack against the extremely skinny-looking country.
