BAYOU CANE, Louisiana - The Epitome Network has just announced their latest reality show which will star John Fogerty as the host.
EN spokesperson Parnelli Mullinfickle stated that the show called The Cajun Crawfish Catching Wars will be shot south of Bayou Cane, and will feature four teams of Cajun crawfish catchers who will compete to see who can catch the most crawfish in an eight hour day.
Mullinfickle said that the show's host John Fogerty was the lead singer and lead guitarist for the 60s and 70s band Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Fogerty spoke with Sangria Wine of TV ClickerWorld about his new show. John, who was born and raised in California, said that he grew up dreaming about one day traveling down to the hidden bayous of Southern Louisiana and meeting some of the native Cajuns and Creoles who inhabit the isolated area.
Fogerty said that he actually wrote the song "Born On The Bayou" after having talked to the infamous Lake Charles, Louisiana voodoo woman known as Madam Lottie Jo Lafayette.
Madam Lafayette has confirmed that out of 700 curses that she has cast, that a total of 697 have been successful.
She is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful voodoo woman in the history of voodoo curse spelling women.
Fogerty said that he has met all of the contestants who will be appearing on the show. He pointed out that each one of them is as Cajun as they come.
He commented that one individual named Pierre Boudreaux Etoufée, 71, showed him six places on his body where he has been bitten by alligators.
Etoufée explained to Fogerty that out of the six gator bites one was actually his fault and that he received the bite after he tried to manually retrieve his watch from inside a gator's throat region.
Pierre Boudreaux noted that the other five bites were all just a case of the damn, effen gators being just a wee bit faster than him.
SIDENOTE: Each of the shows winning team members will receive $625 in cash, along with an all-expenses paid trip over to Biloxi, Mississippi. While in Biloxi they will take a personal guided tour of the Southern Comfort Brewery, the very first Captain Cluckity Cluck Clucks Chicken Shack in Mississippi, and the home where Mississippi-born Britney Spears learned her very first song at the age of 13 months.
