High street chain BootyFull unveiled its Summer Collection to rave reviews yesterday. A host of minor celebrities attended the launch party after complimentary champagne and canapés were on offer to the B-listers. The party, held at a top London Premier Inn, became a brown carpet event not to be missed.
Former model and BootyFull founder Shazzer Smith-Jones explained the concept behind its CT12 Collection. Shaz said: "BootyFull has been at the forefront of High Street budget labels for nearly a decade. After the success of our 15 inch wedged sandals last season, we as a company, have continued to challenge the notion of good taste and practicality that is often far too prevalent within the fashion industry. Our latest innovation, the Camel Toe Gusset continues to do this".
First previewed at the Paris Fashion show in March, the camel toe gusset became an overnight sensation. Within days of its unveiling, Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez were photographed partying with serious camel toes on display.
Defending the design Shazzer continued: "Of course we've encountered some criticism from within the fashion industry. It's a tough business to be in, particularly at the moment. We at BootyFull understand our customers. It is a well-known fact that, larger ladies in particular, prefer a prominent camel toe to be on display at all times, especially in Lycra. Our patented cardboard gusset, allows even the virginally challenged to look good this season. We will be offering the range in a variety of sizes, from the Ostrich and Goat right up to the full Camel."
