HOLLYWOOD - It was an American Idol night filled with tears, tears, and more tears. And a lot of them came from the beautiful brown eyes of Jennifer Lopez.
It is no secret that J.Lo really takes the eliminating of any young singers hard, but on the latest edition of American Idol eleven (11) were sent packing.
One of those eliminated was Brielle Von Hugel of Staten Island, New York, whose mother not only accompanied her to L.A. but who quickly became an overbearing stage mom.
Sangria Wine of TV ClickerWorld described her best when she wrote that Mrs. Von Hugel is basically the same kind of mother that appears on that kids pageant show Toddlers and Tiaras, where some of the little contestants are no more than 14 months old.
An unconfirmed report alleged that word had filtered into the American Idol set that Brooklyn crime family boss Salvatore Goombalini had suggested that it would be nice if fellow New Yorker Brielle could make it into the final three.
Brielle as it turned out ended up being one of the eleven eliminated singers. She was very upset and as soon as she made it backstage she let loose with some patented New York City expletives.
She finally managed to compose herself after she smashed a bowl of fruit with her fists. Brielle later told fellow eliminated singer 15-year-old Eben Franckewitz that when she returns back home she is going to try and see if she can somehow hire Lady Gaga to give her some personal singing lessons.
This year's Top 25 included a record setting seven blondes; four of which managed to make it into the Top 13.
The two youngest female entrants Shannon Magrane and Jessica Sanchez who are both 16 will also be back next week.
Shannon who stands 6-feet-tall confessed that she wore her lucky Dora The Explorer shoes while Jessica said that she spent hours talking with Musicalla the Patron Saint of Harmonic Melodies.
According to noted Las Vegas oddsmaker Millard "7-11" Scheinfeller two of the top contestants are Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez.
Ledet who works as a crawfish trainer back in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, told Ryan "Peaches" Seacrest backstage that he brought one of his pet crawfish "Bayou Boudreau, Jr." with him as his good luck charm.
SIDENOTE: Simon Shindlebocker the producer of American Idol wanted it known that there is no truth to the rumor that two of the eliminated contestants svelte blondes Haley Johnson, 23, and Baylee Brown, 24, had both told TV ClickerWorld that they were eliminated because of jealousy since they were both just much too pretty and extremely sexy.
