HOLLYWOOD - It appears that by all accounts the executives of American Idol have finally convinced Randy "The Dawg" Jackson to stop using the term "Pitchy," which last season he used an average of 19 times per show.
And now, "The Dawg" who boasts that he has worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, the late Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Ke$ha, and the Beatles, has been asked by the American Idol executives to stop using yet another word that he has driven into the ground, or actually the floor.
Jackson's latest "Buzzword" is "Yo" as in "Yo, yo, yo dude." or "Yo, yo, yo lissen up dawg," or as in "Yo, yo, yo I love ya man."
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Jackson uses the last phrase "Yo, yo, yo I love ya man" even when he is talking to one of the female contestants.]
Fellow judge Jennifer "La Tush" Lopez recently told Pico de Gallo of Tittle Tattle Tonight that she literally cringes each time that Randy utters that two-letter Scrabble word.
Steven "Lips" Tyler meanwhile pointed out that Jackson's personalized license plates read "Yo Yo Yo."
Ryan "Peaches" Seacrest added that at the start of the season he made an agreement with Randy.
He explained that he was able to convince Jackson that each time he uses the "Yo" word to put $10 in a jar and at the end of the season the money will be used to pay for a weekend stay for him and the three judges at Honolulu's heavenly Kahuna Karl's Kokonut Hotel.
Randy Jackson is 55. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His favorite color is magenta. His favorite NBA basketball player is Jeremy Lin. His favorite letter is Z. And his favorite number is 1,713.
