HOLLYWOOD - American Idol Host Ryan Seacrest looked a whole lot better than he did on Sunday evening at The Academy Awards Red Carpet festivities.

That night during an interview "Peaches" Seacrest got Bisquick Pancake Mix spilled on him by Admiral General Aladeen AKA Sacha Baron Cohen, AKA Borat Sagdiyev, AKA Skippy Fickyweather.

On this season's first live American Idol, Ryan introduced the Top 12 guys plus one who was asked by the judges to return after being cut from the competition.

Jermaine Jones, who is probably one of the tallest and biggest contestants to ever appear on American Idol, clearly showed why the producers decided to welcome him back.

After performing the three judges gave Jermaine the second of two standing ovations of the night.

The first performer who received a standing "O" from Randy "The Dawg" Jackson, Jennifer "La Tush" Lopez, and Steven "Lips" Tyler was Joshua Ledet of Westlake, Louisiana who along with Jones is one of the early odds on favorites.

J.Lo remarked that Jermaine Jones, along with Adam Brock are two of the cryingest American Idol wannabes in the shows 11 season history.

Jermaine's mama says that her son is so sensitive that he cries when he watches Wheel of Fortune, The Cupcake Wars, and reruns of The Brady Bunch.

Joshua Ledet informed Seacrest that he works in the Bayou State as a crawfish trainer. He added that just in 2011 alone, he managed to train 617 of the little frisky bayou critters.

Another singer who the audience and the judges liked was Murfreesboro, Tennessee native Colton Dixon. He sang the Britney Spears hit "Oops!...I Did It Again" as he played the piano.

Towards the end of the song he suddenly got off the piano bench and he jumped up on the piano and started doing some calisthenics.

He quickly got down when one of the shows security guards approached him with a can of pepper spray.

J.Lo noted that Colton's unusual hair style will certainly help to get him the nation's hair dressers vote.

Chase Likens, this year's cowboy entry, was well received. After he sang his song "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" Tyler told him that he reminded him a little bit of Roy Rogers.

Likens who hails from West Virginia was actually the very first American Idol contestant to ever sing while sitting on a horse.

Randy said he liked the fancy saddle and Jennifer added that the horsey was very cute and she could tell that it had a great personality.

And another singer who is destined to become a viewer favorite is New York City's Heejun Han [Pronounced JER-E-MY LIN.] Han, as noted by "Peaches" Seacrest has the highest SAT scores of any of the other 12 contestants.

Heejun said that he hopes to one day sing at a benefit concert to raise money for The Great Wall of China Graffiti Removing Fund.

This year's youngest male singer is 15-year-old Eben Franckewitz who sang while holding a Selena Gomez Action Figure Doll.

SIDENOTE: American Idol Producer Simon Shindlebocker says that this year in order to make the show more exciting they have added 7,000 lights, 80 different sized mirrors, a fog machine, a smoke machine, and a Margarita machine for Ryan, Randy, Jennifer, and Steven.
