HOLLYWOOD - Demi Lovato has had more than her share of ups and downs the past couple of years.
And just when it looks like things are back on track something seems to come out of leftfield to derail the young singer's cheerful trip down the railroad track of happiness.
Just last month Demi was thrilled at the fact that she was going to be traveling down to Mobile, Alabama to begin filming on the Charleen Belle Pinnzucker motion picture Oodles of Freckles - The Sad Story of Lindsay Lohan.
Lovato was to portray the poor little lost celebutante Lindsay Lohan and Lohan's mother Dina was going to be played by Demi Moore. Brenda Song was going to take on the role of LiLo's on-again, off-again, on-again, off-again lesbianite girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
But as everyone now knows, Demi Moore is in no shape to make a bowl of jello much less star in a major motion picture which is going to be shooting at least 12-16 hours a day.
And many of Moore's friends are placing part of the blame for Moore's depressed state and subsequent weight loss on her boy-toy soon-to-be-ex-husband, Ashton "The Itch" Kutcher who they feel abandoned his "Cougar" wife when she needed him the most.
Kutcher contends that he left Moore because she kept treating him like a little boy by constantly telling him to eat his vegetables, get his elbows off the table, and not run with scissors in his hand.
He further pointed out that he just got to the point where he got tired of the May-December marriage and is now leaning toward establishing a May-May relationship with a woman his age or younger.
A close friend of Demi (Lovato) who asked to remain anonymous spoke with Tahiti Zeppelin of Hollywood Hors D'oeuvres and informed her that she has known the 19-year-old singer for ten years and she has never seen her as sad as she presently is.
She expressed to Miss Zeppelin that one day she went into Demi's bedroom and made sure that there were no sharp objects, automatic weapons, or small pets in her room.
It is no secret that Lovato has in the past been known to scratch herself and her best friend is merely looking out for her well being.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: I know that Demi Lovato's friend, identified as Concordia "Cordy" Zellenpowder, did not want her name mentioned but I decided to mention it because I admire her for having the courage to help her friend in need.]
Cordy did say that in order to help take Demi's mind off of the movie situation she took her to Iowa so she could see the colorful, picturesque cornfields.
She giggled and said that Demi has always loved corn products like Corn Flakes, Corn-on-The-Cob, Creme Style Corn, Corn Nuts, and Candy Corn.
After they returned from Iowa, Cordy took her to FuFi Fondue's Haven of Hair Salon in Beverly Hills where the dark-haired beauty was transformed into a radiant blonde.
Demi has said that her new blonde look has really helped her to forget about the movie and she will now find out first hand if the old adage that blondes have more fun is really true or not.
Hollywood Hors D'oeuvres will stay with the Demi Lovato story and bring you any further developments as they develop.
