Alleged tax fiddler and self-confessed ungreediest man in Britain is leaving Tottenham in the next few weeks to take up a role in a new TV drama.
He has been pencilled in by top bosses to play Bagpuss, the saggy old cloth cat in an upcoming remake of the favourite children's serial. A press conference has confirmed that the well known manager will be donning the stripey suit and will be seen along with the mice on the mice organ in seven half-hour shows. They will show broken bank accounts mysteriously appear in the shop, be put in an off-shore tax haven by Bagpuss and his friends and then disappear just as quickly as they came.
Another celeb lined up for the series is Jamie Foreman, from Eastenders who will play the toad Gabriel, because of his uncanny likeness to a cane toad.
A spokesman for children's programming has spoken of his pleasure that Harry has accepted the offer, "I am delighted that Harry has agreed to play Bagpuss, as it saves us a lot of expense in make up. The only worry is that Harry's face is subsiding rapidly and it's touch and go whether we can get a second series "
