image for Fearne Cotton to join Radio Bore breakfast programme The Noday Show
'Hello to all you truckers out there'

Fearne Cotton, great-great-great-grand-great-daughter of veteran BBC boss Bilbo Cotton-Socks was today announced as the new presenter of the BBC radio bore brekky proggy, The Noday Show.

It is thought 'aunty' removed 127 year old Humphrey Johns from the show after he called Labourite leader Ed Millipede 'pug ugly' last week in a live 4am broadcast.

Swift appointment
The swift appointment of Cotton has surprised many in media circles and other media shapes which rarely get a look in when cliches are used in articles. Cotton has been presenting on radio 1 for the last five years, in the show after Chris Boyles, and many expected her to get the Radio 1 brekky show when Boyly eventually self destructs.

A BBC insider told the spoof today "This is a real shot in the arm for BBC radio. Humphrey has been booted into touch for his 'ugly ed' question, and aunty is hoping Fearne will bring a younger audience with her to radio Bore. This could in turn take audience away from Chris Boyles - and who knows where that will lead to? A salary cut and less doughnuts in the morning for Boylesy?

Make radiogagger's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
