It was a bold move that many industry insiders were calling 'career suicide'. Now, in an exclusive interview, British TV presenter Jonathan Ross speaks out for the first time about his decision to change his name to Rory Ramiro.
"Look, it's all about challenging myself as a pwesenter," he says. "Let's face it, 'Jonathan Woss' isn't that hard to pwonounce. Even my wabbit can say it. The viewers don't want to see me play it safe anymore; they want to watch me twist my tongue in knots, like Gene Simmons on a date with Katie Pwice. Audiences are going to be on the edge of their seats every time I intwoduce myself."
ITV1 have released a brief statement: "Jonathan Ross is worth a thousand journalists. As long as he continues to pull 4 million viewers an episode he can put on a swimsuit and call himself Esther Williams for all we care."
