Irish TV presenter and comedian Graham Norton has today denied rumours that he is set to join EastEnders later in the year. It was suggested by Soapy Things Today that Norton was to play Frank "Mad Dog" Mitchell, a long lost step-brother of Phil and Grant who has spent the past ten years in a Guatamalan prison.
Speaking to the magazine TV Yeah Bloody Right, Norton says: "I would love to play this chap. He definitely sounds like a bit of a loony." He also denied rumours that he is to take over from Bear Grylls or that he has become a professional cage-fighter called Mr Biffo Goldilocks or that he is about to become an alligator wrestler on the new Louisiana version of Total Wipeout.
