image for US not as good at borrowing money!
Uncle Skint says "lend us a quid"

The financial world is reeling at the announcement that the US of A is not quite as good at borrowing money as it was yesterday.

This surprise news comes just days after the US decided that it could borrow even more money by raising its debt ceiling.

Apparently, the US, who currently owe a trillion bajillion dollars, say that they are good for the money, and estimate a total repayment of all its debts by April 16th 459965AD.

A spokesman for the US government said "It comes as quite a shock to have our rating reduced, considering how awesome we are at borrowing money."

In the event that they default on their debts, the US has put up the entire universe as collateral, believing that they in fact own it.

Where the money has been spent is as yet unclear.
