image for Mike and Gina swap with Steve and Zoe whilst Charles looks on.
Claire in action. With Harold and Kumar.

Dramatic developments reported from the offices of hardware company Hammer And Tongs in Kidderminster - Mike and Gina swapped desks with Steve and Zoe whilst a bewildered Charles could only look on in blissful ignorance.

A source said that Mike and Gina, although they had larger desks, had been becoming increasingly unhappy with their desks by the windows - as they were baking hot in summer, and terribly draughty in winter.

Unknown to the pair, until this morning, Steve and Zoe were also unhappy that their desks, away from the windows on the central corridor side of the office were forty feet apart, as they started dating three weeks ago, and had both expressed a desire to be closer together. Most of the time. With the possible exception of when they may be having a domestic. There were also suggestions that Steve may be battling a mild skin condition which could possibly be slightly relieved by exposure to direct sunlight.

Office supervisor, Claire Fullbright became aware of the simmering tensions during a coffee break, when she shared a table with both couples, who expressed their concerns in a frank and open discussion.

It is thought that Claire held no objections to the swap, as the outcome would leave the four people involved happier whilst going about their day to day duties. It is widely believed that as Mike and Gina are not dating, they won't mind working forty feet apart, and that because of a significant age gap between them, neither was really all that bothered.

Charles, meanwhile, who has a tendency towards OCD and always keeps items on his desk as close to symmetrical as he possibly can, clearly was unaware of the way events developed, and seemed to be getting mildly agitated and increasingly bewildered as the switches took place.

Mainly because he was unaware of the changes going on around him, and generally speaking, he likes to be kept in the loop, so he was a little disappointed in as much as he hadn't been.

The desk swap passed off without a hitch.

Make Reddon's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
