image for Online spending after thanksgiving the highest in history
Online stores were racking up big numbers last Monday

The Monday after Thanksgiving 2010 could be considered "Cyber Monday" because it registered the highest online spending ever in history. Consumers charged over 1 billion dollars in online purchases, surpassing by 16 percent the sales revenues figures of a year ago.

Barack Obama confessed to buying online old-fashioned greeting cards (circa 70s and 80s) and had them mailed via snail-mail to each of his Cabinet Secretaries.

Kobe Bryant smiled and informed us that he bought from an online florist a bouquet of 24 red roses for his wife who obviously has forgiven him for his philandering years ago!

Jack Nicholson said that he surfed through a famous sports products website and decided to buy soccer balls for each player of his favorite Los Angeles Lakers so he can get them interested in other sports aside from basketball.
