image for British Airways Solves Lost Baggage Problem

British Airways which for years has suffered the worst record of baggage loss for any airline has announced a new strategy to cut losses.

From 1st January 2011 all of BA's customer baggage will be sent by Ryan Air.

Although Ryan Air only operated between the UK and Europe BA think that bags to Australia will still arrive quicker than by taking them on their own airplanes.

Bags to Australia and America will be taken by Ryan Air to Dublin where they will be transferred to DHL.

By the time the pilots, stewards and other staff have finished striking and the BA planes actually get off the ground the bags should have long since arrived.

Some hard-hit BA passengers have asked if BA could send them by DHL to save time and give them a more comfortable journey.
