image for Half Price Tickets for Train Passengers
work for half a ticket

Wikid-Innit Trains have offered a new deal to passengers with a low budget. Those passengers will be able to travel at half price if they agree to turn up at their station one hour earlier than their train is due, and participate in the station cleaning activities.

A spokesman for Wikid-Innit Trains said that the cleaning job would not require any previous experience, and that passengers assigned to clean the toilets would be given free gloves.

The scheme proved to be a winner in Tunbridge Wells station where a long queue form in the early hours of the day as cleaning shifts before 7 AM are at a premium.

However, there was not much demand for the offer in the afternoons and the train company is considering to add further incentives for the afternoon shifts.

An elderly passenger on 8.35 AM to London said that he joined the queue at 5.00 AM together with his wife and that they had their breakfast in the queue before starting their shifts. His wife was given a later shift and would meet her husband at Charing Cross as she would be taking a later train.
