MickyDee's today announced that Victoria Beckham has accepted a multi-million dollar advertising contract to be the new 'Face Of McD's.'
Executives at the burger franchise had been expressing mounting dissatisfaction with the old clown logo, claiming that it had taken on a sinister undertone and was now more likely to remind consumers of Stephen King's 'Pennywise The Clown' monster from the horror novel, 'It'
Publicity Exec Thorogood Relish, told us:
"Between King's creepy clown and that Spurlock guy's Supersize Me movie the corporation has taken a lot of hits. We had to counter this somehow, so we invited Victoria on board. We want consumers to identify us with being skinny so that they'll eat more burgers. And they don't come much skinnier than Victoria."
David Beckham was unavailable for comment as he was struggling to tie his shoe laces, but Victoria told us:
"Nice 'ere innit?"
More as we get it. Innit.
