Denver, Colorado (IPP) - The United States Department of the Treasury will take over piggy banks as well as many of the nation's federally regulated banks.
The plan was put into motion by George W. Bush and Secretary of the Treasury Dempsey Dumpster III. U.S. Postal Service trucks will stop at each house in the entire country and set the plan into motion by counting how much change is in each piggy bank. Critics claim that it is a very cumbersome and wasteful plan because the mail carrier has to go to the local grocery store and have the change counted by change counting machines and they are allowed to do only one bank at a time.
Counting change in these machines is not free so some of the money is lost by the bank's owner during the auditing process. Some critics worry that a hungry mail carrier could pilfer some of the change and buy fast food with it like they do with parking fine money they take from the yellow self addressed envelopes bound for the court house or city hall.
The plan only applies to money saving devices shaped like a pig. If, for instance, the device is rocket or car shaped or a bottle is used than the new regulations are not applicable to the other-than-pig-shaped device.
