PLANO, Texas - Retail giant J.C. Penney, which is headquarted in Plano, Texas has just announced a big corporate merger.
Penney's will be merging with the Denny's restaurant chain to form a new corporation which is being called Denny Penney's.
A spokesperson for the Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Denny's said that the two corporate giants have been working out the details for the past four months.
The plans are to install Denny's Diners in each one of the 1,107 J.C. Penney stores.
The idea is to give retail shoppers a nice place to eat before, while, or after they do their retail shopping.
According to The Amalgamated Data Gathering Agency this type of concept has not been tried at this high end level before.
SIDENOTE: Denny's announced that in honor of the new merger, they will be calling their regular pizza menu item, The Penney's Pizza.
