Profile: Being retired after spending a hard working life doing as little as possible, I chanced upon this website.
A brief exploration of thespoof.com convinced me that here I can (if permitted by the owners) enjoy reading the net's equivalent of Private Eye, the Beeb's HIGNFY., and 4's Bremner Bird & Fortune.
And by registering as a wannabe satire writer, I now have the freedom to say the things that matter.... the things no one else dare say, and all because we know that what we are saying is a total fiction or satirisation of actual events.
Unless, of course, you know differently........
