image for Wikileaks: Existence of Santa Claus questioned by world governments
They are coming for you Santa - but don't worry, they trying to get Osama as well and look how that's gone

The Wikileaks stream of governmental consciousness has revealed another shocking element to the murky world of international diplomacy. In emails that were released yesterday world leaders were confessing that many of them were sceptical about the existence of Father Christmas as far back as the age of 6.

David Cameron had written whilst in opposition: "We would all like to believe in the existence of a benevolent fat man who dishes out billions of pounds of presents to children. But we have an economic crisis on at the moment - and if he exists I don't want him flying tasty venison round the world once a year giving stuff away. I need him as the Chancellor of the Exchequer."

Another memo from President Obama revealed that - although dubious about Father Christmas's actual existence, the president had sent out a swot team to capture Father Christmas's sleigh and reindeer:"This means of travel would be a major military asset. Imagine - we could develop weapons of XMass Destruction - geddit? "

Tony Blair's and George Bush's emails are particularly interesting: "We don't care what the evidence says - we believe in the Father Christmas."
