For nearly two weeks, Interpol has been circulating a broad international call for the arrest of Julian Assange, the founder of the WikiLeaks whistle-blowing organization, for questioning on sex crimes, Interpol said on its Web site on Wednesday.

Just when Assange thought things could get no worse there are calls in the US for him to be executed on charges of treason, and an advisor to the Canadian Prime Minister, Tom Flanagan, went on TV and 'flippantly' said he thought Julian Assange "should be assassinated" and suggested Barack Obama "should put out a contract and maybe use a drone".

However, the good news for Assange, currently unavailable at his office, is that Ecuador are offering him immunity if he wants to go and live there.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kintto Lucas said his country's government wanted to invite Mr Assange to Ecuador to give him the opportunity to speak publicly. Mr. Lucas said today, "We have a nice condo available, next door to Osama Bin Laden. He can have free internet access and as much Ecuadorian pussy as he can handle. We don't like America."

Assange, through his lawyer, has said he is considering the option, but is currently snowed in near the East Midlands Airport in the UK, waiting for a delivery from Dominos Pizzas.
