image for God: The World's Biggest Spoof
God loved a good Spoof, just look at George Bush as President!

Everyone knows the passage from the Bible that states 'on the seventh day God rested.' Well it appears from recently discovered documentation, that infact on the seventh day, God started Spoofing.

A leaf of papyrus found in an antiques shop in Devon, one of God's favourite holiday destinations when he owned a static caravan there, would appear to be creations first spoof story. It has been purportedly confirmed as being written by the Big man himself.

The story, which was a scathing attack on people who eat apples off of trees that really are no concern of theirs, never made it to publication. It was rejected by the then editor of Thine Spoof for containing libelous remarks about a local man, known only as Adam.

Mark Lowton, current editor of The Spoof, told us "it's good to see that the standards I maintain today, were still very much in use so long ago."

"I encourage free thinking, but not at the risk of our Spoofing community," he continued, "just because you think you're God, does not give you the right to write anything."

The story was leaked onto the internet a few days ago, but any traces of it have been immediately taken down within minutes. Conspiracy theorists believe the cover up to be the work of the C of E's Internet Policing Division.

Their sole aim is to keep the image of the church intact, and to dampen any sign's of blasphemy that presents itself on the world wide web.

Head of the division, Loxley Rugenstein, told us "to portray The Maker as having a sense of humour is totally abhorrent, undignified and blasphemous!" Well if thats true, how do you explain Justin Beiber or Katie Price becoming famous then? Someone must have a sense of humour!

Leading Spoof reporters, who managed to catch a brief glimpse of the story, have applauded the Makers Spoof.

Skoob1999 said "I awarded it 5***** straight away! Regards, Skoob." While Colonel Juan applauded the whimsy with which the piece had been written, and commented "it's a shame it was never resubmitted, this would have got a true 5* from everyone!"

We live in hope that one day God's work will be recognised, and remember if you get caught spoofing at work, tell them God say's it's O.K!

Make Nick Hobbs's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
