image for Gordon Brown Would Love To Give Chavez A Slap
Here We Go - Here We Go - Here We Go!

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has aroused the ire of British PM Gordon 'The Gorgon' Brown by calling on Britain to return the Falkland Islands (Las Malvinas) to Argentinian sovereignty at a summit of South American nations.

Looking a bit comical in his military garb, Chavez made an impassioned plea for the British to hand over the Falklands as the first steps were taken in an oil exploration endeavour. Which it appears is what has re-ignited the long smouldering dispute.

Reports are surfacing that PM Brown, himself still reeling from bullying allegations was so furious that he told an aide that he'd love to come face to face with Chavez and give him a slap. Clearly Brown believes that Chavez is a stroppy little upstart who is poking his snout into business which doesn't concern him, and that he should button his lip or come out and fight like a man.

Speculation gained momentum as Brown v Chavez at Madison Square Garden on pay-per-view would not only be a moneyspinner, but also a vote winner with a general election looming.

Leading British military figures welcomed the idea of 'The Falklands War - The Sequel' as it would give British troops the opportunity to get stuck into a visible enemy and do some really meaningful killing.

This is a row that promises to rumble on, so we'll bring you...

more as we get it.
