Following his decision yesterday to ban Fench men from wearing the Burkha, President Sarkozy of France has added another ban to his list.
Speaking from an orange crate (not any old orange crate mind you, this one was flown in as a gift from Tom Cruise)in parliament, he has now extended the ban to Charles Aznavour.
From today, it will be illegal for anyone to either be, or listen to, Charles Aznavour in public places in France.
A spokesperson for the President, an equally short little man with dreadful skin and smelling of garlic said that this new ban was to protect all members of French society and to ensure their safety as they listened to their MP3 players.
The ban was part of an equality drive to prove that the President didn't just favour short people.
Randy Newman doesn't expect to be elevated to Minister for Short People.
