The new weather-proof burkha

Despite protestations from Iran's President in Cheating, Hava Nodinnajaquet, President Sarkozy of France has banned the wearing of the Burkha in France.

In a statement issued today, the President said that it was not permissible for French men to wear the all-black burkha in public.

However, he did say that should they choose to so do in the privacy of their own home, well, that was up to them.

In a statement from the official Presidential shed in Tehran, President Nodinnajaquet said that the traditional dress of holy Iranian women should not come into dispute.

He went on to say that while there were no religious grounds for wearing the burkha, it was traditional amongst many Iranian women, especially amongst those who either preferred to be totally naked underneath, or were so butt-ugly that they might scare children if they didn't wear it, sporting this trendy form of dress.

He also contradicted President Sarkozy by saying there was nothing submissive about the burkha at all. He questioned what was submissive about a burkha-clad lady with seven bags of shopping, some flat-pack furniture, DIY tools and pushing a pram while looking after five children following behind her husband, wearing a designer t-shirt and shorts talking to his gambling buddies on his cell-phone?

"It's all traditional", he said, "and anyway, you infidels shouldn't comment about the dress sense of our fine Iranian women when you look at your Captain Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean.

"He wasn't exactly a model of fashion, was he?"
