image for Queen Gatecrashes D-Day Service In Spectacular Style - Using A Parachute
Her Royal Highness

Earlier today, the Queen decided that her lack of invitation for the D-Day memorials was a step too far, and decided to prove to French President Nicholas Sarkozy that England should never be forgotten- by parachuting into the memorial service.

The Queen wore a 1944 British army uniform for the spectacular stunt, used a 1944 parachute, and even carried a rifle as she smashed through a stained glass window at the Bayeux Cathedral. Upon landing at the forefront of the church, the Queen reportedly levelled her rifle at Sarkozy and said, in no uncertain terms, "We. Are not. Amused." Sarkozy looked terrified by the incident, and several secret servicemen leapt forward to arrest the Queen, only to be stopped in their tracks by a piercing glare from Her Royal Majesty.

"It was incredible," said the priest conducting the ceremonies, "She just smashed straight through the window in all that army gear. Sarkozy was terrified, and no-one knew whether to scream or clap."

Frenchmen at the service were mortally embarrassed by the incident, whereas all Britons present burst into a massive round of applause, honouring the Queen with a standing ovation. Even American President Barack Obama appeared to be highly amused by the incident, and and is reported to have punched the air and yelled, "You go girl!"

After the applause died down, the Queen slowly took off her parachute, and walked towards Prince Charles and Gordon Brown, the latter hastily giving up his seat for her. She took the seat, held up a hand to cease a second round of applause, and told the priest to, "Well carry on then."

Sources close to Sarkozy say that he feels humiliated by the incident, and is also worried- the Queen kept her gun pointed at him throughout the whole ceremony.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness has gained a massive boost in popularity from her actions, and almost everybody witnessing the event felt a huge surge in respect for her.

"One thing's for sure," said Prince Charles afterwards, "They won't be forgetting us again in a hurry!"
