White house officials have confirmed that President Barack Obama has taken the unusual step of defecating on the front lawn of the white house in a bid to show the world his ability to relate to animals as well as people from all walks of life.
Obama, Americas first black president, has been quoted as saying 'me and dogs do de-do on da grass'. Although it is not quite understood exactly what he was referring to, it has done nothing to lose the affections of the American people to whom many see Obama as nothing short of an icon.
It is thought that wife Michelle had declined from engaging in a similar act, but has been seen with rubber gloves and a spade in hand on Wednesday shortly after the event.
Phil Mefani who runs 'Super Clean', a dry cleaners in central Washington said 'I couldn't believe it. I was just serving another customer when two men walked into the shop wearing sunglasses and carrying a suit. One of the men turned to me and told me how the suit became soiled and I was astonished. Mefani continues ' I offered to do it for free but they paid me anyway on the basis I didn't talk to any press about it'.
