Roxy, the mischievous pooch, in better times.

Atlanta, Ga. - The School sisters of Saint Marys were stunned, Father was Angry and some Clients aren't speaking to him. The reason? An obscene message sent to all contacts listed on the email account of Mr. Charles Stumpf of Macon

. "I can understand how they feel, but it's not my fault.", he explained. "I was writing a ficticious story for a website I contribute to, and when I was finished I broke for lunch."

When Mr. Stumpf returned to his desk his mailbox was already overflowing with angry repliies. I didn't know what to make of it at first, but I eventually put two and two together..." The culprit? Charles' five month old labrador retriever, Roxy. "It was only me and her at home at the time, so it must have been her. She loves to mouth my computer mouse. It's shaped like her favorite toy, a rubber football."

After Roxy was sent outside, Charles, worked to put his life back together. "I was so mad I could spit...", exclaimed Wolden Stumpf, Charles' father. "I never knew my son could write such garbage, but after he explained what had happened we both had a good laugh over it."

Charles, a pipe organ salesman, eventually convinced most of his clients it was all in good fun but harder to calm down were the prim and proper School sisters, Sue Anne and Elizabeth School, whom Charles had dated off and on before he moved from Saint Marys to Macon. "I'm not sure they'll ever forgive me." Charles sighed, "Still, life goes on."

Later Roxy was let back in the house. "She came directly to the den where I was working. Sat at my feet, put her paw on my knee, cocked her head to one side and looked at me with the most sorrowful expression in her eyes." Charles continued,"Dogs can't talk. But I know that in her way, my lab was doing her best to apologize for the trouble she had caused."
