Pidgeon Roost, IL - One of the most unique new re-uses of the American SUV is now open for business in Pidgeon Roost, Illinois. It is made up of approximately 50 SUV vehicles for rooms, with bathrooms, including jacuzzi spa attached to the rear end of the vehicle.
"We bought all of the vehicles for pennies on the dollar at a car auction," says Elmer Fritz, "The market for them has just plummeted and nobody wants one. We've got almost new Suburbans, Toyota Sequoias, Ford Explorers, Chevy Jimmys, you name it, they convert to nice cozy luxury beds. We tinted the windows so nobody can see in...honest"
"Some of the vehicles have waterbeds, others use goose feather mattresses. The bigger one's have a bar, HD television and mirrors on the ceilings. One of the Sequoia's even has a small waterfall."
Many of the SUV rooms have themes, the Toyota's of course are Asian and some of the American vehicles are named after famous Amerians, like Elvis, Mae West, and Marilyn Monroe. Price for nights stay Elmer? "We have a honeymoon special of $200 per night, that includes candlelight dinner, wine from our own vineyard here in Southern Illinois and of course the menu includes a lot of regional delicacies, including Rocky Mountain Oysters."
