A little more of this for Vladko nowadays, methinks

Hungarian Vladko Kafka, 43, is celebrating a rare moment of fame in his usually dull and un-eventful life.

The part-time plumber has spent his entire life living in the shadow of, well, everybody. His mother didn't even know he was born until he was 2 years old, when she caught her umbilical cord - with Vladko still attached - in a shopping trolley at the local mini-mart.

But today it's party-time for the balding, over-weight son of a prostitute as he gets his own star on the 'Walk of Fame' in his local village.

"Everyone else has been honored on the Walk of Fame", said Mayor Putz, "even the little dog that lives in the forest and that attacks small village children. Now it's this guy's turn".

Vladko is traveling by donkey and cart to the towns square to witness the unveiling.

"All my life I've always been 'the other guy'", said the upbeat man, "whenever they took school pictures, I was always cropped out. At my brother's wedding my family didn't invite me and then claimed they never heard of me before. When I do work for people, they never pay me and chase me away".

"I won't let the fame go to my head", he smiled, "but I'm looking forward to meeting some of my mothers lady friends and indulging in wild, naked, cocaine-fuelled romps in the local sewers. Well that's what David Hasselhoff did last month when he got his star".
