image for US to India: "Give Musharraf asylum, as he was born in Delhi, and you can keep Kashmir"
father figure leader of the nation

MUSHARRAF-A-BAD, PAKISTAN: The recent elections in Pakistan delivered an overwhelming blow to ex-Gen-Mush and his cronies, yet the sulking, deluded Prez refuses to budge.

He has refused to invite the PPP-PML(N) combine of Zardari-Sharif to form a government and is said to be relying on the good offices of visiting US diplomats to save his skin.

Sources in Islamabad say his biggest fear is that the new combined government would call for his impeachment.

Musharraf is hoping his US patrons will deliver a creative option , allowing him to string the world along for a couple of months before he declares his 3rd Emergency and takes back power.

However, whispers of a Bush-Mush separation are growing louder with US officials burning the midnight oil looking for safe-exit strategies for their failure of an ally.

A spokesman for Prez Bush was overheard remarking: "The Prez is very disappointed at what a failure Mush has become. Everyone thought that George Bush gave Pervy Mush an "A" on his report card because that's what his Yale profs gave him to "motivate" him. But George mangles his words and sounds and often pronounces "E" as "A" and therein lies the problem."

Meanwhile, thinking outside-the-box, a 110--year old Henry Kissinger has suggested that as Musharraf was born in Delhi, in pre-Independence India, technically he could be considered Indian and therefore ought to be given asylum in India with the US footing the security bill. Said Henry K: "From there, Mush could run a counter-cross-border jihad into Pakistan - making it a win-win for Mush and his Indian hosts."

BJP PM-in-waiting Lal Kishen Advani complained that the US was simply "moving its monkey onto someone else's back and we have enough killer monkeys already in Delhi".
