Smarter than they look

Rwanda, Africa (IP) - Gorillas in Rwanda took revenge against poachers in the dark jungles of Rwanda last night.

Gorillas have high levels of intelligence, a complete language of their own, and opposable thumbs. They put all three to the test last night and the result was deadly for a truck load of Rwandan poachers.

The gorillas attached two car head lamps to each end of a 2 X 4. They wired the lights together and one loose end of the wire was wrapped around the terminal of a battery. A small stick was attached to the other end of the wire.

They chose a 90 degree turn on a gravel road and hid the wired light contraption in the trees there about 3 feet above the ground. The two head lamps were all that remained exposed and the lights faced the oncoming road.

The gorillas knew the sound of the poacher's truck and often it was the only vehicle to travel this road after night fall.

As the truck full of poachers carelessly sped down the gravel road and approached the 90 degree turn the gorillas waited to the last moment possible and suddenly turned on the bright car lights by using the stick on the loose wire to rapidly wrap it around the remaining battery post. The lights, placed at the same level as a car's head lamps, came on suddenly and brightly and caused the truck driver to hit his brakes quickly to avoid what he thought was a head on collision.

The brakes locked and the truck slid out of control and flipped on its side. The gorillas waited for it to stop and then pounced on the poachers while they were too confused and disoriented to react quickly. After the poachers were mercilessly put to rest the gorillas took pebbles and jammed them into the rifle barrels of the poacher's rifles. The next person who attempted to fire the weapons would have them explode in their arms.
