Hey - I'm not a cobra.

New Delco, Indiantown (IP) - An Indian village at the edge of the Delco mountain range is teeming with Cobras. The Cobras appear out of no where around every twist and turn.

The folks in New Delco race the Cobras on Friday nights on a one mile track. The fast back windows reflect the outdoor lights and the glimmer of the lights create a psychedelic effect as the roaring rigs reach speeds approaching 160 MPH.

Each Cobra is a collector's item fetching prices as high as six figures. None of the Cobra's owners are in a hurry to let their prize possession go. They spend hours every weekend polishing and shining up their pet Cobras and each one has been given a name like Mustang Sally, Miss Molly, Roaring Rachael, and Lucky Lucille among others.

Cobras can be deadly. One time an out of town Cobra lover lost control of his beast and it ran over a fire hydrant which was declared D.O.A. and the utilities department had to replace it to the tune of $6,000 in labor, materials, and lost water which the Cobra's owner was charged for.

Next week a parade of over 100 Cobras will come slithering and winding their way down the curves of Main Street in the annual Main Street Cobra Rally. One of the main attractions will be a real live snake charmer who will be charming a live reptile that has been de-fanged and everyone is urged to bring their cameras along to record the colorful event.
