image for Marmite crisis in Korea
This animal has been deprived of its natural food and is spewing forth metaphor.

Since Korea restarted its nuclear program there have been many sanctions imposed on it by the UN and the USA. Wheat and rice have been sanctioned along side chocolate. However none of these has had a greater effect than the banned import of marmite into Korea.

To the Koreans it is an essential part of daily life. For marmite is the staple food of the mules and donkeys used on farms throughout the country.

Without it many farms have gone out of business like monkeys on a tree of poisoned bananas placed in the rainforest by an overenthusiastic naturalist who was eager to find a new species but at the same time accidentally managing to wipe it out, until seventeen years later when one morning a fisher woman hanging her produce on a neighbouring banana tree when she sees the monkey which she immediately recognises as a species thought extinct and becomes rich and famous.

It is therefore necessary to send immediate simile aid in order to quench this torrent of metaphor which has poured fourth from the Asian country in question like vomit from a drunk in Scotland after tripping over a stray cat and landing stomach first on a large bollard.

The consequences of a failure by the global community could be catastrophic to everyone.
