image for Scientists Mark Dolly The Sheep's Anniversary
Wooorkin' naaane tooo faaave

Today, Feb. 22, marks the 10th anniversary of the birth of Dolly, the cloned sheep. Dolly is now stuffed for display in a Scotland museum.

It has been learned that Dolly, named after the Country Singer/Actress Dolly Parton, was euthanized in 2003 because the ewe had learned to talk and was doing so freely. No more Silence of the Lambs, this lamb was starting to tell authorities tales of how she was seduced by one of the scientists, using alcohol and the so-called date rape drug, so she had to be silenced.

With her life ending prematurely, Dolly never got to see such milestones as Brokeback Mountain, in which the two Cowboys were attracted to one another instead of the sheep, as was the tradition in the Old West. She never lived to see herself named Time Magazine's Person Of The Year 2006; Ewe.

The investigation continues into the identity of the murderer, with PETA leading the charge of those calling for justice. The Curator of the Roslin Institute, where Dolly is on display would only say "whaaaaat a traaaaaaagedy".
