image for US Sends Cold War Era Warplane Reminders to Putin
Boeing workers assembling F-35 Joint Strike Fighters

The US has sent warplanes to eastern Europe in response to Putin's charge into Ukraine. At last report, six F-16's were headed to Poland while six F-15s were to go to Lithuania. In all, a full dozen planes along with a few KC-135 tankers.

Anonymous sources are saying that Putin is simply scared silly over the arrival of these Cold War relics and in such quantity.

To date and elsewhere, the full arrival of the F-35 Lightening II (JSF) has been slow. These single-engine airmasses have developed cracks in the wings and frames, grounding all while those who are screwing them together try and figure out the problems. Elsewhere, the F-22 Raptor; undoubtedly the most advanced fighter plane in the world, is being withheld due to the fact that the production line was shut down because of lack of funding and there are just a limited supply on America's flight line.

Meanwhile, China has offered to send Russia their version of the A6M-Zero; the mainstay Japanese fighter of WW2. Third-Tier Assistant Secretary to the Acting Deputy Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Wong Wae Wek has stated that, "This should really tick the Japanese off. If it doesn't, then China will build a replica of the Battleship Yamato and give it to North Korea."
