Fukushima, Japan-- There's a new honeymoon spot for lovers, waiting across the sea. It's called Fukushima, Japan--and it offers empty beaches, romantic scenery and that extra special radioactive touch for all newlyweds. Fukushima is for lovers!
Last year's nuclear meltdown in Fukushima has created an ideal spot for honeymooners. The Japanese government has decided since it can't do anything about the calamity, it might as well turn the empty countryside and beaches into a getaway for lovers. Most of honeymooners are too much in love to notice the radioactivity.
Newlyweds can be seen strolling the empty beaches by the damaged nuclear reactors, hand in hand. Lucky beachcombers sometimes come across comical two-headed birds and other mutated sea-life along the warm shoreline. The Pacific Ocean sports a nice warm green glow at sunset, a perfect background for making love!
The more intrepid newlyweds sometimes venture inland from the coast to explore Fukushima itself. Quaint burning towers of debris from the tsunami give a sensual red glow to the evacuated countryside. Many lovers take advantage of the empty houses and bedrooms for romantic afternoon getaways!
There are some couples who come to Fukushima who know all about the radiation, but don't seem to care. Bill and Jill Hill from Pennsylvania recently honeymooned in Fukushima:
'I wanted to get pregnant right away, so we stayed in Fukushima. It's so mundane wondering if the baby will be a boy or a girl." said Jill as she patted her tummy. "We want to see whether the baby has one head or two!"
