Damascus - Protection of prehistoric alien artefuct secrets like the Tripoli County Krak des Chevaliers fortress is top of the joint Russian/Chinese agenda at the UN this weekend.

The cold war allies refused to condemn President Assad's continued atrocities in what analysts say is a cover-up about the Krak's subterranean alien base.

"They know the country is named after the karmic dog star Sirius," Sino-Russo psychobabble expert Professor Einstein Flintstone commented today, "home of the cosmic seed bed of human, er, civilization."

Erected in 1031 the ancient stronghold straddles a massive meteorite outcrop shielding a vast UFO hangar much like the US Air Force's Test & Training base at Groom Lake, Nevada.

The June 2000 death of the Syrian's President's father saw a tripartite Syrian/Russians/Chinese pact to secure, salvage and retro-engineer a galaxy busting mothership said to have been mothballed for centuries in the Krak's underground caverns.

However, the base became flooded with sweet light crude during the Iraq War after oil fields at the Deir ez-Zor Governorate near the Iraqi border became stressed due to prolonged US bombings.

"The craft may still be salvageable despite being submerged in an estimated 10 million barrels of crude," Flintstone added, "but only with President Assad's continuing co-operation."

Plans to siphon off some of the massive oil lake into the country's Aleppo pipeline are well advanced despite the civil war hostilities gripping the nation.

Mrs Asma Assad, first lady of Syria, has fled to her native Acton, North West London home and refuses to venture outside without a tin foil-lined furry winter hat.
