image for Mayan Calendar's Comalcalco Brick shows 1/12/2011 'is new Apocalypse date'
Expect ructions on Thursday 1/12/2011

Mexico - Stargazers at Mexico's National Institute for Anthropology, History and Mayan Calendar Rants have published new evidence from temple ruin brick fragments at Tortuguero, Tabasco State.

Glyphs representing a Venus conjunction 'with a mystery planet' - thought to be Pluto - transiting Capricorn have been revealed etched into a ceramic fragment called the Comalcalco Trick - er...Brick

Analysis of the scrap's other astrological symbols confirms the new End-Of-Daze calendar date positioned firmly at 1 December 2011.

Epigraphologists in London said today the Tortuguero inscription also describes 'something dreadful that's supposed to happen in 2012' underneath a 'swastika-themed' logo highly reminiscent of 'London 2012'.

Over-painted in snakes' blood and poison spider venom is a man's face 'rather like that of Sebastian Coe', High Lord and Master of the London vanity exercise.

Commenting on the find Mexico's emeritius professor of Mayan apocalyptic humbug Senor Pedro Montezuma-Venganza said today:

"Comalcalco's bizarre brick inscriptions were laid facing inwards or covered with stucco, suggesting they were not meant to be seen for several hundred years.

"Mayas saw time as a series of cycles/interlocking circles much like the symbols used by the Olympic Games."

Next Thursday's 1/12/2011 Venus/Pluto conjunction commences at 13.50GMT.
