Pot found in man's suitcase has caused security to tighten up yet again. Early last week, George Holter was found transporting plants from Romania to the US.
Laws and security have been tough on those transporting flora from place to place. The disease that we all so fear could affect many plants and crops.
Unregulated citrus plants have been banned on flights to Florida, Arizona and California. Disease among exported fruit is truly something to fear.
The Irish know from experience. Years ago, Ireland was growing wheat and oats. Soon they realized that potatoes provided much more nutrition. So England came in and took the harvests of wheat and oats, while the Irish lived off of potatoes.
Disease quickly found itself in Ireland, attacking the potato crops. Since they only had one variety of potato, there was no food left for the people.
The US is taking no chances with its cannabis hoards.
