The largest study of school aged children took place in the U.S. last month. Over 10 000 students were put through vigorous tests to determine the average weight of American students.
Common belief for years has thought that American youth were suffering from an obesity epidemic. This new study disproves this belief. Students in America are grossly underweight. The average 16 year old male weighs in at 95 pounds.
The anorexic outbreak is quickly spreading across the states. This outbreak is accredited to the limited supply of food. Rather than transporting their families by vehicle, like the majority of the modern world; American families run together. Whether it be to work, school, or for social events.
The Red Cross has begun collecting donations of processed foods, to try and bring the national weight up. The staff of the BBC wishes The Red Cross the best of luck in this endevour.
